STYLING BAR
STYLING BAR
I came across a wicked styling bar for a 2003 Mustang with a third brake light online, I was wondering has anyone mod it to fit their Bird? I was looking into some styling bar for my Firebird but did not like the box design that they had. I was trying to get dimensions to see if I can convert it but wasn’t sure how good it will look! I would like some feedback on this. By the way, I’m looking for a convertible top frame for my 92 Firebird, if anybody has one for sale send PM with price to zip 78249. I saw one on ebay but it’s for local pickup.

Looks good.. however is the purpose just to add a 3rd brake light ? How strong is this fitment and does it move/shift any where breakage may occur? And is this all structured like a roll bar in some way ?

It's just for show. Little or no structural advantage to having it.

You know how the wind in the 3rd gen vert tends to blow up from the back between the seats? I've seen some people use the styling bar to adapt a mesh wind screen behind the front seats. This makes it incredibly calm and quiet in the front.
