You have manual releases back behind the back seats. Theres a cord coming off each solinoid that pop the levers. Dig around you will find em back there.

Try pressing down on the drivers side tonneau cover while pressing the switch on the console. I don't know whats up with my 91 but that is the only way it will open without using those strings behind the rear seats.
okay i can get the top to lift up from the lid by pulling the cable. i will searchout the cable 2 the soinoids

The manual releases sometimes get hidden. They are attached to the latch and at least on mine are small plastic covered cables with a loop in the end.Originally Posted by jaysfs

You might have power to one solenoid but not both... That's what I would check after you get your tonneau to lift by using the manual release.
When I got my car the electric release would now work. I had the car for about a year before I was finally able to find the problem. The manual release is a PITA but you can live with it until you get the problem sorted out.
Good Luck

How was the weather?
We don't get a lot of cold weather in South Georgia so I can pretty much go topless at least a bit most all year. Wearing a jacket and with the heater on I have been out near freezing cruising around town...
I hope you had a good ride in yours when you finally got the top down.
When you get ready to figure out the electric relase post here or Email me. I've been through mine from one end to the other!

Sometimes it's not even that. It could be that the latches are just stuck and need some WD-40. My cover doesn't open up sometimes when I hit the button, and then other times it does. It's just the latches getting hung up. Kinda a hit and miss with mine.

Yea most of the time mine will only open while press the tonneau cover down and press the switch at the same time. I am shocked when it occasionally pops without pushing. I took mine for a cruise last week when it was +10 celcius(50F). The highways are dry but the city is sloppy.
Crank the heater crank the tunes and it's all good.
