New pics of 88 IROC Vert

I finally pulled it out of the garage and took some pics. I had to for the insurance company to get coverage as a classic. Bad news is that I may wind up selling soon to pay for work on my 68 and 69 Camaros. Keep an eye out on the Classified board

I like it, with some resto that car would be so sick... Black Roc's are the hottest camaros IMO...

Yeah - those wheels are just for transport. I have the original 16" that are going back on.

Looks great. Did you buy it from the original owner with that wing or did you put it on?

Nope, Wing is original. I've seen a few others with the taller wing. I don't know which package RPO it is part of - maybe WW4 or YT1.

I hate to say it but I don't think it is original. As far as I am concerned that wing only came on the 91-92 Z-28.

Re: New pics of 88 IROC Vert

I knew it was coming, but I can't find any proof that they didn't exist in 88. I know mid year 1988 GM had a spoiler change. The previous owner said it was on it when he bough it in Florida. It has the correct moldings down the quarters on to the door which I don't think would blend the same for the normal spoiler versus this wing. I also think the normal spoiler had 4 mounting locations across the back. This wing only mounts on the ends and I can't see any holes on the inside that have been filled/welded for the 2 middle mounts. I guess it could have been a dealer installed option, but it's been with the car since new.

You may be right. I just started getting back into 3rd gens again. Last time I owned an 89 IROC vert was back in 97. I then bought a 92 RS which I later sold and got into vettes. However I would be interested in knowing for sure if anyone else was to chime in. I will however be joining your ranks again in a year from now with another IROC vert
