new top with tinted windows
Has anybody stumbled across a vendor that has the cloth tops with the back window tinted. I have a all black car and would like a little tint in the back windo.

just take a new top to an upholestry shop and have them replace the plastic window with tinted plastic or if it is a glass window use regular tint.
Re: new top with tinted windows
They do make tops for it with glass windows. There is a thread at the top of the convert thread titled "Where can I get a new convertible top? " that lists many different top companies along with the type of window and price.

Re: new top with tinted windows
As you know, our factory plastic windows has a fold in it when the top is lowered. Of coarse glass can't fold so they have done two things . . .
- the glass window is slightly smaller to avoid the area where the plastic one folded.
- and a slightly different fold location is used also in order to accomodate the glass. After a few repeated folds, the new top with the glass will develope a memory of the fold so you don't need to assist it as much later on.
While visibility is slightly less with the smaller glass window, they do look pretty awesome. And who drives with their top up anyway!
