Some updates on the vert...

Hey folks,
As many of you know, I have been working on the vert for about the past two years..lol. Well, she is almost done! The latest item to be finished is the rear fender work. We widened the rear wheels from 18x8 to 18x11, thus we had to make some room for the massive meats.
Here are some pics of the car finally on the ground today.
Also a pic of the engine bay sans the AC unit!

The next project which starts tomorrow is to remove the rear end and have it rebuilt (new axles, posi, gears..blah blah..).
Then finally..the last phase...paint and body work!

Lookin' good, Tommy!

I want to see it in person one day! I would be honored to get my car in a picture near your car. That engine is sick!

EDIT: Found a Posi rear with disks and a 3.08 gear. Picking it up this weekend to put on this winter/spring.

tommy the car is looking good, looks like you have plans to shave and cut out the windshield wipers. my car i currently has the heads off, they got new valves and thicker head gaskets. the car should be done next week. Now you just need a blower to have the two fastest 90 verts in the state. later, bryan

That looks AWESOME! I think I speak for everyone when I say POST SOME MORE PICS!

Maybe one of these times when I'm out there in Cali I'll have the opportunity to see it in person

Do you ever take it to any major shows?

Re: Some updates on the vert...

just one question... I followed the story over in the chassis/suspesion board about the widening, but do you still have the flat spot on the top of the wheelwell? Is there any way to get rid of it?

I am plannign on putting air ride on my vert and don't want to have the fender well sitting on the wheel because the top of the fenderwell is flat...

That flat spot comes from the platform that the top folds down into. There's no way to get rid of it. If you banged it back up...then the top wouldn't have room to fold down.
