Help with parts
First off let me say, I am new to this board and you guys have some great verts. I have a 92 Trans Am vert and I am having trouble finding the switch for the tonneau release actuator. At first I thought the actuator was gone but why would both sides go at the same time, so it must be the switch. It worked fine one day and then I went out the other day to put the top down and when I pressed it, nothing happened. I can't find it anywhere. I had to go to ebay for my window switches but couldn't even find this one on ebay. I will have some pics up soon. She's all original but looks almost brand new. Forest green with the peanut butter top, tan leather interior, got the 305, even still has the honeycomb wheels. Any help with this part would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Re: Help with parts
Just find a hatch release switch. It is the same part, with a different diagram.
Or go to Lons website www.topdownsolutions.com and buy it new from him.
My guess is the fuse is blown. It is on the same circuit as your cig lighter.
Good luck

Re: Help with parts
Jay is correct, When ASC did the conversions they took the Hatch release switch and re-wired it for the Tonneau...

Re: Help with parts
It's been about a year since I have messed with my vert. However, I think I remember a few things you might want to look at:
Is the switch really bad? Put a meter on it and see if it closes/opens when engaged.
Put the meter on the switch harness and make sure you have a good 12v and ground.
Take the switch apart, clean up the contacts, lube it, and check it with the meter.
Is your trunk pull-down mechanism working? The tonneau release is wired to that mechanism so that you can't release the tonneau while the trunk lid is up.
Trick
