Can you post some pictures of your roll bars or cages in your vert.

Can you also state if it is custom of where you bought it, please.

 

Custom chromoly built by Andre in Windsor, ONT at Mailloux Chassis. Through the floor subframe connectors are connected to the cage also. I reccomend having a reputable race/chassis shop do your install/design.

They sell vert and coupe bars, as well as street and track bars, definitely bolt in and I think weld in too.
There bars are 1.75" DOM and can be legal for road racing w the SCCA and NASA. you should know the difference between roadrace rules and NHRA rules if you think you are going racing.

Thier street bar is a 4 point main hoop that bolts into the floor pan and then bolts into the top of the sail panel. The catalog shows the couoe version but I'm sure it can be ordered for a vert, which I expedt comes without backstays because of interference w the top functionality.

They have a track bar also that comes with a horizontal cross bar that bolts in and out that would help keep it from bowing, a diagonal cross bar that goes from the top of the main bar,drivers side to the pass floor, (triangulation) to keep it from colasping down when loaded, (picture upside down w a 3500 # car on top of it) and a higher harness mounting bar to keep your straps in place, (nice feature).

I had a Autopower bolt in 4 point (main hoop and horizontal bolt in/out) bar in my 99' vert and then customized it with a diagonal bar and cusom bolt in/ot backstays. back stays are important because they prevent the bar from folding down at the sail panel, say, if it were skidding down the black top at 100 mph or hooked on a curb, which would meet my definition of a VERY bad day).

I believe in roll bars for verts even just street driven. "It's good to keep your head about you."
Just a simple 4 point main hoop is legal for NASA track days etc.

 

I was looking for a 4 point bolt in, basically just a hoop behind the seats for my 88 a couple years ago, I never did find one, nobody was even interested in a custom build then, there might be something out now for bolt in

only thing available was for a 4th gen

 

I would never use a bolt in cage if you are actually using it for racing and not just show. The S&W roll bars fit good but you need to find a good welding shop but it eliminates getting the bars bent and they are reasonably priced.
