4th Gen rear, spare tire fitment
The stock drum brake rear in my '91 ragtop was going bad, so I swapped in a 4th Gen rear with PBR brakes. Awesome! Brakes are super, the stance is killer!
Ok, so the stock emergency spare won't fit anymore. No problem, picked up a 4th Gen "space saver" spare, 16-inch, fits the PBR brakes and 16-inch stock 3rd Gen wheels.
All of a sudden, I noticed the bigger spare won't fit in the little spare tire compartment ASC created for the spare tire! Waay smaller than the hardtop cars. Hey, in my '92 Z28 hardtop, the 4th Gen spare fit perfectly! But not the ragtop, sigh. I like busted a couple knuckles trying to force it in...
Is there a mod to make this fit, how about some ideas....
