Interior Pictures

Hey All!

Well im in need of a little help for some interior picts for the asc converted gta's, i have an 87 and im looking to see what the rear seats look like. As far as all the brackets they have attached to them and what they hook up to in the back, I had my recovered last year but one of the seats is missing the bracket that goes on the bottom. Im debating about getting a set of 4th gen seats but im not sure if the rears will fit. Ill post some picts of my interior in the next couple of days.

Thanks for the help..

Also would anybody know were to find a manual for how everything went together for these cars? like wiring diagrams, how the interior was put together and etc?

Re: Interior Pictures

The manual would be called a Service manual. Available from www.helminc.com.

Re: Interior Pictures

This may be a dumb question, but these would have outlines of how and what was used for the ASC conversions and part numbers and such if there available?

If you're still looking for pics of ASC GTA interior let me know. I have an 88 with what I believe is the original seats...although they are black and gray instead of a solid color. I'm switching the seats for some 4th gens in a week so let me know and I will take some pics before the switch.
Do you still plan on posting some pics of your interior? I'm interested in seeing it.

Re: Interior Pictures

Here are some pics of the rear seat area in my 88 GTA. I will post two more with the seats down. I couldn't show any real detail of the center bolts your looking for though, I think I will have to cut or remove the carpet for that...but I may do so anyway in order to install my 4th gen seats. I'll keep you posted.

Re: Interior Pictures

Hey 88GTA VERT

these pictures actually help out a little, im still going to take some better pictures of mine, here shortly. I noticed that you have the electronic motor that pulls the top down on to the tonneu conver via the switch on the panel. Have you had any problems with that motor?? mine needs to be rebuilt? any ideas were to get something like that rebuilt?

Re: Interior Pictures

It's too bad you didn't ask about the motor a few weeks earlier. When I changed out my interior I got rid of that motor set up and converted to the later style "manual" set up. My motor worked well but the gear end wouldn't release the top very easily. Anyways, I already promised it to someone else on this site for free!
In another life, long ago, I worked in the heating and cooling career field and we would take electric motors to be rebuilt. The point is, you can usually find a place to rebuild electric motors for you if you shop around. I would call up an electrical supply or HVAC/R supply store and see if they have any vendors that rebuild electric motors. You may get lucky!
