wondering how many 1992 z28 convertables 5speeds were made

Unfortunitly, there is no record of build #'s based on a combination of options or features. There are records of many individual options (or RPO's), but not in any group with others.

In this case the combinantion is Z28 + Convertible + 5spd.

The best I can come up with is there were . . .
- 70,007 total Camaros built for '92.
- 55,783 had auto trannies (RPO MXO). Or about 80% of them.
That means that only 20% of all '92 Camaros were then 5spd std. (Easy to figure since they only offered 2 different trannies.)
- Out of 70,007 built, only 1,254 were Z28 convertibles.

Those are the facts. Now the big GUESSTIMATE . . .
Applying the 20% thing, that would mean only 251 out of those 1,254 Z28 verts had the 5spd.

Again, the figure of 251 is total speculation. But it is fun to think about. I've often wondered how many cars like mine, '89 IrocZ LB9 5spd combos are out there. But alas, I will probably never know anything more specific than, "not many".
