Top doesn't want to fold completely down

In this car's 17yr history (92 TA conv) the top has always worked flawlessly... until today when i attempted to put it down for the first time in 6 months. At about half way down i have to nudge one of the center bows to get it to "fold" correctly. After that point the top continues to fold in what seems like the proper manner, yet it needs to go down another 3 inches or so in order for it to be compact enough for me to safely shut the tonneau over it... I cannot get it to compact this additional 3 inches! I messed with it for 30min and cannot figure out what is preventing this top from folding as completely as it should. Any ideas?

check your 2nd bow if it does not fold back it will hit your back seats an wont't go all the way down, I have that problem but I am missing the 2nd bow springs and having a hell of a time finding a set.

Macer,
I believe there may be a set on e-bay right now for you to check out.

Re: Top doesn't want to fold completely down

there are two little bars that are bolted to the top frame above the side windows, check to make sure those are there and bolted in nice and tight.

Those two little bars were indeed the problem. I bent them back to straight and now the top folds all the way down again. Thanks!
