1991 Z28 Vert hatch release switch & relay?
My 1991 had the convertible hatch release switch located inside the drivers door jam. My car was sideswiped and I replaced the drivers side rear quarter. I removed the switch and put downer quarter on the car. It did not have the hole for the switch in the door jam so I was going to relocate it into the center console between the power window switches as i see on other cars. HERE IS MY PROBLEM. can't find the switch. I lifted the carpet after removing the rear seats and followed the red wire to both hatch selenoids and into the trunk near the trunk release. Nothing visible to see where these wires the hot and ground could plug into. I then rerouted the red wire from the trunk into the center console so I can hook it up to a switch and relay. Now how do I power it up and what switch and relay can I use? I would appreciate someones help. Thank you.

Hatch switch means tonneau cover switch? Actually to answer one of your questions check posts here for substituting a hatch switch for the tonneau switch.
Definietly want to use a momentary switch.
Tonneau release relay according to the service manual is in the" consule behind the gear selector ". Wiring diagram show an orange feed from the acc fuse, brown to the tonneau release switch, and a black to the deck limit switch, all attached to that relay. Red wire is coming from the deck limit switch in the trunk and on to the solenoids. Would advise following the factory wiring to avoid disaster if the hatch opens when moving or when the deck/trunk lid is open. Hopefully those with more knowledge will help as well. good luck.
