Looking for a different rear spoiler

I have to admit that I HATE the stock convertible spoiler on my car. IMO it looks cheesy and like it was just stuck on as an afterthought. I'm on the body mod phase of my build and I want to do something different with it. The problem is, I don't know exactly what to do. I know that I want something higher, maybe even a pedestal type but I don't want the stock high rise at all. Basically, I want to put something on the car that will complement the lines more and flow with the car. I'd also love nothing more than to do away with the quarter caps and add metal to smooth it out but I don't really feel like taking that task on right now. I'll just modify them however is needed to fit with the new spoiler.

So, if you could change the spoiler on your car what would you go with? Pictures and sketches are welcome. I can't draw, but I can build anything that anyone can draw. I'm just drawing a blank on this at the moment.

I'm looking for anything besides the stock convertible piece or the high rise.

There's not many other spoilers that look good on these cars. You pretty much have stock convertible, stock hi rise, and hawks 5" to choose from that even look good. That's why I went with the hi rise on mine.

Re: Looking for a different rear spoiler

I haven't seen the 5" on a convertible. I'm pretty sure the side pieces will have to be modified and made longer to make it look right. The high rise looks great on your car but I'm building a roll bar/light bar for mine and I think that it would just look too busy with the bar and the high rise.

I have a couple of extra base Firebird spoilers laying around. I might end up modifying one to mock up and see what it looks like in place of the middle piece. Similar to what you did with the high rise, just not as tall.

At some point I'm going to be adding a roll bar/cage. I don't think it will be too busy at all
