Is this the 91 Z-28 that was on Craigslist? I talked to the guy a few weeks ago. Good luck with the project, looks very solid
yup. i caught it before any of the vert parts were, dude was parting the car out, which would have ultimately ended with a rust free vert in the junk yard picked to pieces.
pics of the undercarriage

so do you guys think it was worth savin? lol

as many third gens as there are out there these days with all sorts of under body rust/rot and damage in various structural areas it makes you wonder why someone would even consider sending a solid rust free body to the scrap heap, especially a vert.. seems there are more and more threads around here with people replacing wheel wells and floor pans etc, a lot of people would kill for a solid foundation...

Nice job man. You're doing us all a favor by stepping up to the plate and getting a WORTHY car on the road again. Parting cars is a touchy subject on these forums, and rightfully so. Some conditions call for it, but this is one of those that you made a great decision.

Congrats on the new project
Great score dude
Great score dude
thanks guys, I am changing the color to Ming blue metallic, keeping the stock red leather interior. putting a t56 in it, and doing a 400 SBC with a modified LT1 top end I think, should be an AWESOME sunday driver.

Blue with a RED! interior..... Alot of colors go really well with the red interior, but blue.... just my 2cents. It will be one heck of a car once done tho.

Looks like a good save and I will never understand why people junk cars that are very solid. The only part of your plan that does not sound good is the blue on red, but it's your car.
starting to lean tiwards blue on bkack now lol

Man I really hate those people out there that take perfectly good third gens and piece them out! There's a few on this sight come to think of it. But I guess we're the ones to blame. As long as we keep buying the parts they'll keep parting them out. Congratulations on the find. I just pulled an 89 IROC out of a boneyard in January myself. Originally Posted by Chevy8588
