The blisters and paint turned out great from what it was. I got my PDR guy coming out to look at a couple small dings on Friday.

PDR is very cool, we have a guy we recomend for small dings if people do not want to go the standard repair route, really is no need if the paint is still clean. Here is one that I just laid the paint down on this week, been in the shop in a corner for months, edged the hood and jams and now it is all painted, I want to do my next 3rd gen this color, HOK Kandy Red (silver base) this color would look great as stripes on your black vert

Love the Boze wheels on that BTW. What resto-mod shop do you run?

I did the start of the cleaning underhood. Washed and scrubbed all the painted and plastics as feasible, then polished the painted surfaces with Prima Swirl, by hand.
If you remember...

After...

Still need to clean and treat all the rubber, and do something with the bottles.

Re: I'm in trouble... 92 Z03 Z28 Vert
Had a pretty awesome fathers day... Planned on spending the most of day working on the 92 rs stripper car getting all the worth while parts off, and getting some parts ready to be installed into the vert.
Woke up to a treasure hunt... Found that my love got me pass to the Rusty Wallace racing experience... Going NASCAR racing!
Love her!
Got almost all of the interior stripped out of the 92, untill the smoke and ash started raining down from the forrest fire outside of town.
Went home and cleaned some of the parts I'm swapping over next week...

Pulled my old leather door panels off the 91, and cleaned/conditioned them for replacement of the water damaged/dirty one on the car now.

Still have a bunch to do, but I can feel how nice the inside is gonna look

Re: I'm in trouble... 92 Z03 Z28 Vert
I got mine for the Camaro years ago from Classic Industries. It came in a HUGE cardboard box. I need one for my Firebird now and checked, they show it available along with the plastic inserts that hold it in place. I'm local (40 minutes) so it is no problem to pick something like this up in person. If these still come in the huge cardboard box, I'd imagine it would be expensive to ship. Maybe they roll them up now? Did you check your local dealer?

Re: I'm in trouble... 92 Z03 Z28 Vert
Considering how reasonably priced these are compared to what I spent years ago for mine, it can't be the same. I'll need to take a trip south to CI to check them out. I'm planning to get my firebird body work and paint done soon. At that time I'll check into the underhood insulation. If this rolls up I could easily sell them in the box I use for the SFC's.

Got my radio and NEW GM console pad ordered this week, and original 25th decklid badge heading this way also.
Getting closer to biting the bullet on getting the new top ordered.
I need a little help in finding the paint code for the red windows in the wheels... anyone know?

Found why the cooling fans were not coming on with computer command... poor connection at connector for fuse link between the relays. A little clean and tighten on pin connection, and were good!

Only thing I didn't really like was gluing the insulation to the hood... Not sure how I feel about that one.
... What color paint did you use when you refinished the red windows on your Z03 you did??? I need to get everything here for that.

Thanks man. The pics really make the car look better than is. Its getting all new/refurbished interior from carpet, floormats, center console, door panels, console, door caps, switches, cluster lens, door pulls, door sills, vert plastics... The deal is not such a deal I keep adding up how much I have been throwing out there on re-storing it

I used whatever the paint code is for the bright red used on a 92 Camaro.I googled "1992 camaro paint codes" and found it that way.

I was going to say the same thing about the bright red.
but... I'll add that personally I don't think the red wheels look good on a black car at ALL. I know there there's some red on the car, but it's too far away from the wheels to make them look right. Repaint the wheel insets black or medium grey, and maybe brighten the flat parts with at least 800 grit paper, or polish them outright

Pretty sure with the rarity of these I would kick myself for modding it when it comes time to sell it. I already have a modded car
I'm thinking that I'm gonna try and win Super Chevy Show in modified and original class this year, if I can get it done in time.

The insulation from Young's F body has a caption under it that states that the picture is for illustration purposes only and the product is not molded.
I also looked into that aircraft stuff and I did not like it because it has to be glued on with contact cement.

Re: I'm in trouble... 92 Z03 Z28 Vert
I'm with you guys on that aircraft insulation. It looks great, but i wanna try to keep my vert as stock as I can. I saw the caption for the one at Young's, and that is probably the one I am gonna go with.
I also have a couple of unrelated questions...... is the 3rd brake light (spoiler) specific to the verts or is it the same as the hatch ones?
My spoiler suffered the same fate as most of them, but when it came off it jerked the wires hard and broke the back side of the light assy. it also broke the lens, either when it hit the pavement or when it pulled the wires, not sure which, so now I need a new spoiler AND light. I'm thinkin about the one from Hawk's, but does anyone know if it comes with the mounts already attatched and do any of you guys have a spare light assy that you are willing to part with?
One more question... other than replacing them, is there a good way to clean up the front turn signals? The lenses are kinda cloudy.
Here is a pic of my '89 before the tragic spoiler loss.
