Re: rust......
I looked at the photos in your album. Rust is not that bad and it is a convertible so it certainly is worth saving IMO. Unfortunately people are parting out cars everyday on here so donor if you must. I think you can get patch panels or make them for most of that. I will see if I can find a useful link for you.

Re: rust......
the car is save-able, but whoa that's alot of rust damage. looks like it was a northern car driven in the winter, or spent some time in the salt water there in south Florida (does it have a tow hitch, maybe someone towed a jet ski or something with it). truthfully the back of the car doesn't concern me, but the rust on the a-pillar does (that will probably take the most time and patience). Should be able to find a nice donor car in the junk yard to get some of you trunk, spare tire pans from (I am actually receiving a 91 RS tomorrow that is being parted out and i know all those pans are good, but i'm not a cutter and won't cut them as i can not guarantee they'll be cut the way you need / want). It will take a lot of work, but it's doable if you have the time, patience and money.

best advise i can offer for not getting stuck, is to collect parts and not disassemble until you have everything to complete that phase of the project. the problem i see most people fall into is they get over-zealous in their projects rip them to pieces and tear them down, the run out of money, motivation or both, sit on the car for a few years then finally sell it as parts or in parts. if you're not relying on the car for daily transportation, i'd just take it slow and have everything you need stored and saved over time to complete on project at a time. if you do that i think it's totally doable. hope that makes sense.

Man if you were closer I would tell you to come buy what is left of this 92 trans am I found in the junkyard here in CO, then just swap all of your good parts over.

Re: rust......
They told me that they would not sell the whole car. It was a roller, but still had seats, carpet, dash, spoilers... pretty complete. I robbed some stuff off it.
If your serious... Martins Auto Salvage 970 686 2460 Maybe they will sell it whole. I work during the hours they are open so I have not been back.
