engine question

Car: 1992 camaro rs convertible
Engine: 3.1 liter v6
Transmission: automatic
Axle/Gears: 3.23 posi trac
engine question

ok so talking to this guy today and he told me that there where no 1992 camaros that came with a v6 but rather they came with a 5.0 v8 standard. is he right, idk how creditable this guy is but mine does have a v6 in it and the original owner did say he slung a rod and had to replace it so.

According to the specs right here on the site, 1992 Camaro's were available with the 3.1 V-6. They may have been rare since they don't list any specfic numbers. Tell the gentleman that you have the only one and just smile. You may have.

V6 was standard on both RS coupe's and Vert's. I think the reason most people don't think they existed is because as the guy above me said I don't remember seeing a lot of them. Below is the sales brochure that verifies what I claim in my first sentence.
