1991 Green/tan T/A Vert 5 spd

I finally talked to the owner of the 91 green t/a vert today. She said she had $6000 in it and would like to get that out of it. The car is decent and is typical of a high mileage car. It needs interior work like carpet and seat covers. Some of the clear is pealing off but there are no dents. It is a 5 speed car that is loaded with deluxe (lumbar) interior and the wide gta wheels. It is green with a tan top and interior. How rare is the car and what is it worth. Again no dents but clear is peeling off and needs carpet and seat covers. The top is probably original and is ok but not new by any means. What should I offer?

If its a T/A vert 5spd, 6k is a fair asking price. See if you can get it down a lil bit because of the problems you have listed.

Sounds like a pretty car one way or another. If you can shake cash money in her face and get her to drop her price you should do it.... Then just plasti-dip it.... KIDDING LOL!

6K is a bit high IMO, if it were low miles, and good condition ... saw one last year on CL w/ 70K miles ... $3800 ish - Paint and interior will cost 3 to 4K ... then you'd have 10K in 6K ... negotiate more !

Heres a91 vet vert/6 speed ... 58K miles .... $5500

Re: 1991 Green/tan T/A Vert 5 spd

To me 6K doesn't sound to far off given its condition. Desirable thirdgens are going up in price quickly. I think a 91 TA 5speed vert is pretty desirable. The two examples Jersey89 posted are 1) The least popular generation vette + an R title and 2) an RS.

In the 6K price range deals pop up every once in a while where someone doesn't know what they can get out of it but generaly for that price your not gonna get low miles and immaculate.

6K will get you what you want in a hard top but not a vert.

What are the production numbers on a green/tan 91 trans am vert 5 speed. My 92 25th z vert is 1254 made and this should be rarer than that I would think. Anyone know the numbers on the T/As

Were the 5 speeds much rarer than the autos like the camaros?

According to okfoz in the "Is my car rare/desirable?" sticky there were 104 Trans Am convertibles made in '91 with the M5.

Re: 1991 Green/tan T/A Vert 5 spd

104 sticks is definately rare and green to boot. I think as just a car it is about a $4000 to $5000 car without any rarety. I dont know how much to add for it being that rare and in a few short years it will literally be an antique and then the prices really start going up. I have a 90 ZR-1 corvette that cost $68000 new. I paid $35000 in the mid
90s and now they are only worth in the 20s. But 10 years from now they will go up a lot. Lot of things to figure on what something is worth.

Re: 1991 Green/tan T/A Vert 5 spd

I see her in town every 5 or 6 months. she doesn't get out much and s not into cars. The way she talked about the car was just that she paid 6 for it and would like to get that out of it. 20 years from now that car will be even more desireable. 104 of them and green will be the rarest color.

Green and blue are the rarest colors in any configuration.

Re: 1991 Green/tan T/A Vert 5 spd

if you are not getting the car to sell, the best thing to do (imo) is ask yourself if you would pay $6000 for any car in that shape .. as in, is it rust free, does it run well, shift well, and drive well ... will it need new steering parts, shocks/struts, bushings, or tires? if you are getting it to sell, then it is going to need all that, along with paint, seats, carpet, and a top (along with some other things, i am sure) if you ever want to get top dollar out of it ... just my
