Don't hit the gas too hard.
My Formula 350 convertible has no problems... It is a stock engine, I do not plan on modifying or upgrading it either... Actually it probably squeaks less than almost any other 3rd gen I own.

Mine has the stock 305 tpi but I have stiffened up the suspension with all the lower control arms and all red sway bar and trans mount bushings, bilstein shocks, the works. It drives almost like a go-cart now and cracked the windshield the first time I took it around a good corner. I dont have sub frame connectors yet but that is on the list. I am going with a mild 350 since it will be a cruiser the rest of its life. They really do flex quit a bit.

I've made a few hundred track passes with 600-800hp..most were leaving violently off the transbrake.. It has Southside machine subframe connectors and a beefed up 6 point rollbar welded through the floor ONTO the subfames.. The rear lower control arms are tied into the subframe connectors also hich really helps get the power into the "chassis".. These cars are flimsy, thats a fact. The convettibles have some additional support but more is needed. Mine has never wrinkled the quarter panels, thankfully..
Doing just beefy subframe connectors helps a lot and actually makes the car stronger in a crash situation.. My SSM subframes were welded into my t top car 3 days before I totalled it.. I t boned a truck that turned in front of me. All of the front end damage stopped at the doors.. The gront portion of the subframes... We cut them out and they are now on my vert!

Put it in and enjoy.
Unless car is very rusty, you won't have a problem.
Subframe connectors are a must on any 3rdgen that will be driven.

use outter SFCs - UMI or Jegster
and inner SFCs - MAC or Alston
this will stiffen the car up quite a bit, dual SFCs may be a bit of overkill.... Maybe you can install 1 set and see how you like it. If you want stiffer, install the 2nd set.
