Another Junky 91 Black 5 speed vert

6 months ago I was looking for a 91/92 black vert. wanted the tan int and top. One was repainted junk yard car - pass. One was decent but triple black and pricey. Yesterday I saw one on a used truck lot. Again- 130K and repainted poorly with new top- needs EVERYTHING else, wrong motor too. Body decently straight but another abused junk yard candidate with a backyard paint job. Too bad.... and the guy was an *** right from the start. He asked if I had any questions and I politely said the car was more than I wanted to take on to restore. And he says to me " Obviously you don't anything about these cars...blah blah..rare...one owner...blah. Mind you I am standing next to my TTA and yet I apparently know nothing about these cars. WOW.
I'd be the first guy to overlook the problems and see potential (if any existed).
If anybody else wants an instant headache project- 6 Grand buys you one- In Largo Florida. He has the original blown motor to sweeten the deal- LOL

Yeah Tony, HE'S the one that don't know anything about these cars. If he did, he'd been drooling over the TTA. Which by the way, isn't anything special..........."somebody just threw a V-6 Turbo in a GTA!!!"
I get that alot!

I really hate it when they repaint these cars (lipstick on a pig) without removing the ground effects. Now they are just ruined. The dealer kept stressing that it was a 1 owner car. I'd much rather have 15 owners that took care of it than one that ran it completely into the ground.

I looked for a triple black 90 iroc or 92 25th car for well over a decade before I found one with one price tag instead of the rare blah blah first born cured cancer mind numbing wrecked crapola you usually find. Still had to pay a little to much but zero rust fully loaded and I still drive it most everyday. Wouldn't mind one of those gta that someone threw a Buick v6 in. I'd drive that quite a bit as well.
