Wondering about duck tails on verts

Alright so recently my father gave me his 91 z28 convertible Camaro as a gift for graduating, he’s been saving it for a good while and only has 46,000 miles on it, and I’m planning on restoring whatever’s broken on it and adding my own little touch to it. So I was wondering if I could add a duck tail to it, I was looking into a extreme dimensions one and I really liked how it looked but I came to problem that it won’t fit because of the verts current factory tail. Is there anything that I can do to fit it on.
P.S I’m still pretty incompetent when it comes to cars but I’m trying to learn

Re: Wondering about duck tails on verts

Nope....not gonna work. You need the factory rear spoiler side pieces on the car because it covers up where ASC cut the factory roof off.

There's actually a member here that removed those pieces and installed a 91-92 Z28 rear wing, but he put a TON of work into the car. When you remove those side spoiler pieces, you will see that the trunk lid sits WAY higher than the top of the rear quarter panels
