Interest in New Tonneau Slide Release

I have a friend that has a business that involves selling car parts he has made for him. I asked him if it might be possible to have new tonneau convetible slide releases made like in the picture. He said it might be possible, but he might have to send one to them and see if they could do it. If they could, it would require a minimum order of approximately 300 of them. This is a big maybe, and I don't know what it would cost if they could do it, but just wanted to get an idea of how much interest there would be if they could make these.

Also, for people with more knowledge than me about plastics, what would you kind of plastic would you recommend for the outer part that screws in to the tonneau be made of, since that is the part that cracks and breaks.

Those are for the 89-92's, the 87-88's use a completely different setup.

Hawk's makes the conversion kit for the 87-88's, but it is $250 https://www.hawksmotorsports.com/87-...h-upgrade-kit/

Glad mine has never broken! I have had it apart but never needed to do anything to it but lubricate the cable.
