I have a 84 Z28 convertible that has severe top issues. They did not make a factory convertible back then. It was an aftermarket job done by Matrix dated 11/83. I need to replace the top, and both of the hydraulic lifts are leaking. I believe, based on measurements, that a top from an 87-89 Camaro would fit. However, I can't prove it until buying a top and trying it, unless someone here has experience with this. Nor can I find the lifts for sale, and honestly have no idea as to how to replace the lifts due to them being so deep and in a narrow area with little access. Finally, I can't find the rear cover area where the top rests when down. I am open to any and all suggestions as to how to make this work. See attached pics for better visualization.
