Help! Need fix for ASC '87 rear bow pulldown motor now groaning, and hatch pull down

So, after going over every centimeter of the car to get rid of the moldy smell from storage - an all-day affair - went to close up shop and the top pull down motor now can only groan one or two revolutions, if that. What causes this and is it fixable? Maybe a quick teardown and clean with solvent?

Hatch pull down is all the way back in like "A frightened turtle!" will not engage the hook in the decklid - is there a driveway solution to reset this?

I need this working by 9AM Monday - or a workaround - so the Missus and I can celebrate our 36th anniversary same as the first, taking the Convert on part of the Lake Michigan circle tour.

That top pull down is very rare. Not many (if any) have that on their verts. Hopefully someone (Lon @ TDS) can help.
As for the trunk pulldown, Check around the circled area. There's a switch down there that engages pull up when the trunk is popped. Check for loose screws that hold the motor on, 2-3, 10/11mm.

Post script: Both working now. Top pull down was just the weak battery that needed to sit overnight on the charger. Hatch pull took some figgering, but I could see the white plastic plunger was out of position, so I re-seated it. Snapped the pawl closed and after a cycle or two - works like it's supposed to.

And I was wrong on that rail pull down - worked fine for a minute, until it didn't.

Now it is stuck closed, period. So I have some circuit chasing to do - looking for power at the pigtail connector and to see if the switch is actually working.

Since all the rest of the parts except for the tope were scrounged from other production cars ... is there any chance the motor could have come from some other vehicle the team was familiar with?

Pix, ideas, opinions, troubleshooting rubrics... fire away. Hawks looks like they have divorced from any convertible bits, or at least most of it; TDS has a lot for the trunk pull down, nothing for the rail.

The rear top bow corkscrew pulldown is very rare.Ive only ever seen one in person on a 1988 formula convertible that a friend of mine had.
