I own an 88 GTA convertible. It has solenoids for the latches for the tonneau cover but they are not connected to anything. The wires go to the trunk latch area.
Does anyone have a schematic for this circuit? Or how the circuit worked. I believe the trunk release button worked the tonneau cover?
Thanks

I don't have a schematic, but I do know that the wires going to the trunk are for a safety interlock switch attached to the trunk pull-down that won't allow the tonneau to release if the trunk is open. There should be wire(s) coming from the front as well, as the tonneau release is powered by the trunk release button on the dash. Start the car and pull the parking brake before pushing the button.
Any pictures of the car? I have an '88 and '89, very rare birds! The '88 is a digital dash automatic car, Bright Red with gray leather. '89 is a Flame Red over tan 5.7L car.
