HELP car doesn't always start
HELP car doesn't always start
help! my 89 gta starts fine the 1st time but after either even a semi-long cruise or turning it off then trying to start back up 3 minutes later doesn't work. the car cranks but won't fire up ... is this excess fuel in the cylinder??? what's the best way to get it starting every time???
does it always start when it is cold, and then won't start when hot?
The best way of starting it if you think there is too much fuel dumped, is to hold the pedal to the floor while cranking then once started let up. This mixes more air with the fuel.

i had the exact same problem with my car.
found the baffle inside the fuel pressure regulater leaking.
easy way to check , just pull the vac hose off the regulater if you see any fluid what so ever it is leaking.
cheap and easy to replace, oh yeah carefull with the upper runner gaskets.
