the cable thats connected to the hot/cold slider.. was broken when i got the car..

i replaced the cable except now it doesnt move all the way to the cold side.
it goes halfway actually, before hitting.

but i dont have a/c so i wondering if thats the reason why it doesnt move all the whole way to cold ??

 

come on someone can help me here, this isnt a tough question at all.
someone without a/c .. does the slider move all the way to cold or not??

and another thing, whats this about not being able to change a thermostat without changing the PROM!
my guess is that the previous owner would not have done that, when he put in a 180..
