TWO transmission coolers?

right now i run through the cooler in the radiator and then the b&m. its the largest b&m street cooler. would it help any if i put another b&m in there? is it necessary? i am just tossing ideas around here and trying to figure out how it would run.
thanks

I'd say bypass the radiator cooler altogether. My tranny temp never gets within 30 degrees of my coolant temp, so all you're doing is heating up the tranny fluid. I have a B&M 24000 GVW cooler, and my tranny temp is usually 150, maybe 175 in traffic. My coolant is a steady 205, and my engine oil gets up to 220.

I would reccomend jsut using the single B&M and bypassing the in-radiator cooler. When the tranny fluid goes into the radiator, it will only cool down to the temperature of the engine coolant which is surrounding it. With a completely external cooler, it can actually get cooler than the engine coolant.

Don't forget you don't want the tranny TOO cold or you'll hurt it just like you don't want it too hot. Best thing is to run it through the tranny cooler then through the radiator tranny cooler to heat it back up.

Mine is only running through the trans cooler, its not going thru the radiator. The other reason I did this is because my last tranny spit out alot of metal shavings when it blew and I did not want them going into the new trans from the radiator.

I have a griffin radiator, it doesn't have provisions for tranny cooling.
