Napa fan switch doesn't work.

well I bought the buick low temp fan switch from Napa. Anyway I hooked it all up and started the car. The fans came on right around 210 or so. But since then they've never shut off! They come on as soon as I turn the key. For some reason the thing is constantly grounded. And obviously not working.
My question is, has anyone dealt with this before? I trced the wire and made sure it's not burnt and grounding on something. I used teflon tape on the sensor, could that possibly cause a problem? Or is this just a case of a bad fan switch?

if i remember correctly, you don't use the teflon tape, otherwise the sensor won't have a ground connection. it may have a small connection, but you want all the connection you can get.
