coolant leak
NEED HELP ASAP!! COOLANT LEAK
i just noticed that there is coolant at the driver side of the intake manifold bottom just above the front of the cylinder. Is it possible to have a leak in this location? How hard is it to replace the manifold gasket? What do I need to get to do this repair?
Thanks

could either be a leaky stat gasket, or the manifold gasket. My manifold gasket was leaking and had a mechanic do it. That cost me $500.
If its near the stat, I'd start there (much cheaper) and if its not the gasket at the stat, it could be that your water housing is warped where it sits on top of the stat. I

Okay, I started to remove things but I have one question. It says in the manual that I have to remove the TBI, EGR and distributor. I don't see why I have to remove the TBI and EGR. Can I just remove the vacuum hoses attached but keep them on the manifold then remove the manifold with them on top? The distributor would still need to be removed.
