temp sender

can anyone tell me some resistance specs on the temp sender and the gauge? i believe i have a bad gauge. sometimes the gauge will show 240 and i can check the coolant with a manual gauge and it reads 210. and other times it wont get over 195. the car is a 85 camaro/ LB9. thanks in advance.

ps. i am a new user, but not a new camaro owner. i am amazed at some of the quality information i have read on this site.
