Duh, Water Pump Question??? READ ME

Ok, I have of course an 87 IROC-Z with a nice rebuilt 305 and a super ram goin gon it and some new heads, but before all that crap goes on, I need to put the engine back together so I can drive it out of the back yard.

I need a new water pump and I'm not sure what to get, long or short style and what is reverse rotation?

I need one that will work with my stupid v-belts, I am going to keep them since I'm removing the A/C.

go to www.jegs.com or summit.com you'll find what you need..if you have money get an aluminum pump...if your broke like your handle says..then do what i did..i bought an impeller which you rivet to the back of your original water pump..if you have your original pump you can do it..its about 5 bucks for that impeller...so your call

Should be long style, standard rotation. Belt setup shouldn't matter, the pump doesn't come with a pulley on it.

what is reverse rotation?
Reverse Rotation just means that the Crankshaft and Waterpump rotate in opposite directions as in the case of a Serpentine belt setup. In a V-belt setup both the Crankshaft and the Waterpump rotate in the same direction.
