ok ok i need more help

alright, i got a pair of dual fans off of a GTA comin my way. i was gonna get a mechanical flex fan, but i got these for $30. my original fan wiring is gone. i am gonna wire them up to a manual switch, key word is switch as in only one. what kind of amps do these fans pull when they are both on? what AWG wire should i use and how should i wire them up? remember i want to run these two fans with one single manual switch. is this possible?

you need to use a relay.. i would use two.. one for each fan.. and connect both of the relay coil grounds together.. and wire those into a switch that goes to ground.. if u have never delt with relays before.. then this will be probably be supper confusing to u..

maybe this will help.. just take out all the extra sensors\switches

yeah take each of the grounding wires from the relays and wire it to a switch..

that looks about right.. so when you flip the switch you ground both relays and turn the fans on...

i am guessing "M" in those drawings are the fans??

yup thats the way to do it!.. and if u want.. u can even install a lighted switch, and the current coming from the relay coils will turn the light on when the switch is turned on (grounded)... and yes M stands for Motor..

and that part number is for the bottom part of the relay, the part with the wires, not the top part that you buy for 8 bux at the local auto parts store? where do you buy the bottom part of the relay system?

and what size fuse should go between ignition and relays, and what about the fusable link between batteries and relays?

and what about mounting the fans? they dont come with the upper and lower radiator mounts, so i was planning on using tranny cooler type ties, with a few washers or something to put the fan .75" away from the radiator?

and what about the plugs that go into the fan motor. i have one since i already have a single fan, but where do i buy another?

What I did was added a wire from my bat, (dual post bat) ran that to a switch and then ran a wire to the fans power switch. I am thinking it might be easier to replace the sensor on the block. But if I keep it the way it is how should I wire in a relay? Battiery, toggle, fan. Nothing else involved. I think since my sensor on the block is bad it isn't hurting my ECM. Is that right? Any thoughts?

i would get maybe a 20 amp fuse for EACH fan.. with different ciruits. this way if one relay blows. the other will still work. but you might have to go with a 25 amp fuse. but start with 20, and just urs a fuse instead of a fusable link so that ur not reparing the fusable wires all the time..

and those tranny cooler type ties might work. but u should be able to find a universal fan mounting kit at ur local auto parts store. or online somewhere. but the cooler type ties should work if u do use spacers...

and for the plug, just look at the one u have now. i believe it is a female connector that accepts two flat terminals. looks kiinda like (- -).. and if u have a pepboys. they will have them. and if not you can try another autostore, but pepboys is the only place i know that carries them. if not then just goto the dealer and expect to spend about $15 there..
