235* is within specs...

I basically did the same thing as the one with the holes... I got some angle brackets from Home Depot and bent them also back on themselves so that it holds the deflector just forward of vertical, and when I manage to scrape bottom they will give. Just means I have to reach under the front end and pull the deflector back forward every now and then.

Now to get a 350 and drop it in there... the 305 is only running on 6 cyls now.

if your car is hitting 235 on the freeway see if you are running lean and check your thermostat

Good points,
I have no thermostat, i tried with and without however.
I was running lean, but i richened it up and it still does it. PLugs are usually a little too black for my taste...
Timing? I have no vacuum advance, and my total is 34*. I tried 38* and 32* total nothing helped.... I have a feeling its somthing deeper and more important.

The air dam forces air into the radiator. After 35 mph the fan shuts off so the only air coming into the radiator is brought in by the dam. Now some cars can get by with no air dam. I have for almost a year now and I finally picked one up tonight to install. I run a 160* thermostat though. I did notice in the summer heat, which you know what it was like here during the summer since you aren't too far from me, my car was approaching 220 even with the 160* thermo. My advice for you is to put it back on. The car does need it.

By the way brody, where the hell are those after pictures
