Swap Out

Hey guys, I have pulled out the factory 305 tpi in my 86 iroc to go to a 350 carbed. I pulled out the computer and wiring harness but left all the hookups for the dash gauges, electric fans, etc. How do I get the electric fans to work with my new setup the way it should? I hate wiring switches and crap. That is not the way to do things. But that is just me. Any help would be appreciated. What do I need to do it?

Not Sure if this will work, BUT there is a temp sensor that would be in the block of your TPI, its located near the dipstick under the manifolds. By keeping the wiring in tact, with this sensor you should be able to install the sensor and set the fan/fans to work as planned. good luck

find your fan relay on the firewall by the brake booster towards the fender. take the wire that the computer grounds and wire a switch in there. summit and jegs sell ones that go to ground at a certain temp so if you dont want a toggle switch wired in you can use one of them so the fan comes on at the set temp.and if you do have dual fans here is a diagram you can use to see what Im talking about.
