Heater Core Removal
Heater Core Removal
I realize there are many posts on this and a tech article I have already read, but what is the real deal. Situation: I have to replace the heater core on my 1992 RS B4C this weekend, the tech article only has a couple of steps and sounds easy, my service and haynes manuals have me remove the pad, the dash, numerous panels, use 4 men and a small boy, etc. I can do all of that but do I really have to, the tech article did not specify year. Thanks in advance.

you do not have to remove the console or the top dash pad, well it depends if you can work in small areas well, i changed mine in an hour, just be prepared to get mad and take breaks
Installed heater core, took only two hours from start to finish, only removed right side bottom cover, computer, heater core box, then pulled out core, no cussing. Hardest part is under the hood taking off the old hoses and reinstalling new ones, not a lot of room around the back of the head.
