Will Water wetter cause water to frezze faster?

I was wondering if water wetter will cause water to freeze faster? I have it in my car currently with about a 50 /50 mix of water to antifreeze.

i thought water wetter just takes place of coolant.

so you can stay cooler in the summer time.

i don't think water wetter does anythign to change the freezing\boiling characteristics of water..

Doesn't take the place of coolant. Doesn't affect the boiling point/freezing point of coolant. It merely improves the coolant's abliity to transfer heat from the engine the coolant, and then again transfer that heat from the coolant to the radiator.

hmm now that i think about it, and re-read what he wrote. he was asking if it would freeze QUICKER.. not at a different temp. so hmm perhaps maybe it would freeze quicker, but that is if that water wetter really does its job at transfering heat quicker...

With the proper mix of coolant for your area, the coolant will never freeze--regardless of water wetter. So it won't freeze any quicker.
