160 Degree Thermo

Got a 160 degree thermo, wanna drill 3 holes in it about 120 degress apart, what size should I drill them and where exactly on the thermostat?

Why do you want to drill a 160* stat? Don't you think that 160* is low enough so it will open without much of a warm up? I have a 160* in my car and it opens in like 5- 8 minutes of cold startup.
Just curious.
