Where's my F-ing coolant going?

Im filling my coolant reservoir about once a week. There's no obvious puddle under my car either. Then when it is full the engine is still running hot for a while then cools down, then when I think everythings alright the temp fluxuates back and forth.Could it be a bad water pump?

water pumps usually leak when they are bad. It would be pretty easy to see if it was leaking. I would think the seals on the tank of the radiator. Mine would leak there and it took forever to find it. The problem is that it is so hot there that the water disappears so fast. Try cleaning the tanks and watching them when you park. Also wouldnt want to think that it may be the heater core. Any smell?

try tightening most of the coolant lines, it could be leaking and then burning off on the manifolds.

*** point. All those coolant lines that are above the valve cover on the passenger side can leak and it will either drip right onto the manifold, or onto the valve cover and then onto the manifold. There's lots of clamps there. One could be loose! Start your car and watch that area closely and see if you can see anything drip. Also, look at your valve cover on the passenge side and see if you can see any antifreeze on it anywhere. Good luck! Matt
