last night i was driving, and hit 85 or so and my radiator hose came loose again, i pulled over before it was able to overheat and me and my buddy got the hose back on, and filled it up with coolant. it is looking fluid a lot more than before (has a bad water pump which i am tryin to change here soon) and now the vents do not work at all, any suggestions on how to get the vents to work again?

 

Does it blow the air up the windshield all the time? If so that is due to a lack of vacuum going into the controls.

 

that is actually what's happening..how do i fix it? i found a lose very small hose coming from the top of the block (towards the windshield side under the hood, near where the carb is), but have not been able to find out where it goes, not sure if that is the hose or not, the reason i ask about this hose, is because it seems to do a vacuum type thing instead of blowing out air and such

 

Connect that hose to a vacuum source, and report back.
