Where the hell is the orifice tube located?
I have an 86 TA. I going thru the process of converting to 134A and replacing the compressor and accumulator bottle as well as the orifice. Where the hell is the orifice located? I have to remove the old one first but I can't if I can't find it. A picture would be most appreciated as for where it is located on an 86.
What do ya want, I'm a chic!

it's located to the left of your accumulator(dryer). it's inside the smaller aluminum line. just open up the line and look down inside. your orifice tube is in there.

Dude, I know where the orifice tube is, and your description confused me.
Makai,
The orifice tube is in the bottom port of the evaporator.
Remove the liquid line from the condenser core and evaporator core, slip a pair of needle nosed pliers into the hole, grab onto the orifice tube and give it a twist/ pull.
found it
Ok guys, no need to argue over who's right. We found it the other day. On the 86 TA, it's in the line that runs under the accumulator/drier bottle at the firewall end of the line. (not the radiator end)
Oh and Jeff, I have to agree with you about 2nd shift totally sucking!
