Is this enough for florida
I have a mild 350 about 350hp. but i'm gonna bump it up to about 400hp in a few weeks. Now it goes up to about 220 in heavy stop and go traffic and sometimes worries me. i was gonna get a stewart water pump, 180 thermo, two fans of 12 and 14 inches, and a Howe 31*19*3 aluminum radiator. You all know what florida summer weather is like will this be enough or you think I should go with the two row 1.25 core radiator instead of the two row 1inch rad. Thanks guys.
either radiator will work if you have a fan (or fans) that will pull enough air through them... and your engine will DEFINITELY cool off (if nothing else is wrong) with the 180 thermostat... (I actually use a 160, with the stock radiator, and a single 14" fan... since I have a lifetime warranty on the fan motor (so I don't care if I burn it out every 8 months)... i have it wired to run ALL THE TIME, unless I pull the fuse) THIS SET-UP is because I live in HOUSTON, and if you've ever been there, I don't have to tell you how bad the traffic is, OR THE summer heat)
a 160 stat would probably be better off in hot climates. i too have a manual switch. only thing i'm curious to know about now is if anyone sells a better flowing fan that will bolt up in the same place as the stock ones. now that i have headers the engine runs a tad warmer.
