i have dual cooling fans in my '91 L98... sometimes the fans are not coming on, apparently. normally they work as advertised, coming on @ 200, off around 180, and when the a/c is turned on. about a week ago i happened to look down when i was leaving someones house and noticed the temp close to the 240 mark, but don't know what it really got up to since i wasn't paying attention while i was talking to someone. anyways, i took off from there to get the air flow going and cool it down. i don't know for sure if the fan ever came on after that. when i got home, i heard the fan winding down when i shut the engine off, so it seems to still work, at least. today, once again, the temp climbed up, no fan ever came on, and when i tried the a/c, that fan did not come on, either. a few minutes later, going down the road to get air flow going again, i had the a/c on, and the temp stayed normal (about 170, by the gauge)

i have a jet fan switch 200/180 and since installing it, it has worked great, no problems. i'm just not sure if maybe i have faulty grounds (?), and/or faulty relays... seems kinda wierd that they are both on the blink... any help is greatly appreciated, other than "run a separate fan switch"...

problem solved... i had left the ground wires to the fans off the fender last time i was working over there...
