electric fan not working

Engine: 305 TBI (LO3)
Transmission: TH-700R4 w/Shift kit
electric fan not working

my fan on my car went out with i was driving home from work and it hit 260 witch is in the red. now is that gona hurt anything b/c it got that hot. i fixed the fan last night but i just wanted to know if that hurt anything

It's never good to run your car that high but if you dont have a cracked block or head or blown head gasket you should be ok.

it was only there for a min or two and then when i started movin it cooled to 220 or so
