ram air

i am pretty sure that this is the right board for this question but anyways...

i have a 3.1 and am looking for a little more power. i am not swapping a v8 so please save your breathe. i was considering getting a functional ram air hood with the air box

how much of a gain in power would i be looking at?
would the gain be worth the $700?

$700
No, definitely not worth it. For that you can get a lot more things to give you more power for a lot less $.
You might gain, MIGHT, 5-10 hp. MAYBE.
Now if you're more into the looks of the hood, then the price might be offset.

A K&N will give about the same gain, for under $50!

thats what i was thinking but i guess i just needed someone elses opinion. i do like the look but i dont exactly have a large amount of money to spend on a hood that wont really do all that much.
