Who here has a Be-Cool radiator in their 3rdgen?

I just got a nice Be-Cool radiator for my 92 RS. The stock hoses don't fit now, so what are you guys using? I don't want to use those cheesy universal flexiable hoses either.
So what fits?

BTW, I know the TPI and TBI/carbed engines used different hoses, mine's carbed.

Thanks!

Joe

Be-Cool

I got the custom-fit, and everything fit perfectly. Hoses and all.

You know, in another thread somewhere, somebody said he would NEVER run "one of those universal hoses". Well let me tell --AGAIN FROM PERSONAL EXPERIANCE---those ridges you see on the universal hoses actually make them stronger than a molded hose! They will not collapse as easy! Next time you go to the parts store, ask the counter man to grab a universal hose and a molded hose--any type/any application--doesn't matter as long as it's the same diameter/same thickness--then squeeze them like if they were collapsing in on themselves. Believe me, the universal hose will be stronger, but don't take my word for it. Go do it and prove it to yourself!!!

craig is absolutley right, I use to manage a auto parts store. And to add that most of the flex hoses also have wire in them looks like a spring inside the hose. If you make one of the flex hoses collapse you have a very serious prob lol. later

when i put mine in, i worked at a auto parts store...

for the upper hose, i found a hose that had a bend just right to go from the radiator straight at the motors thermostat housing.... the hose i got had another bend, but i cut it off just before the bend and it was PERFECT.. nice clean straight hose..

for the lower hose, i used a universal flex one, i never found a molded hose that fit the lower one right....

i had one that was close, but it needed a slightly tighter turn then it was molded for, and that made it pinch...

Watch out when using those universal flex hoses though!! I hate them.. I used one of those initially for the upper hose when I did my conversion (till I could find something more precise). The spring kept creeping back towards the radiator side leaving a very weak portion right off of the water neck... Two different ones did that to me.

you can take out the spring for use on an upper hose. The spring is there so that the lower hose doesnt colapse and cramp up your cooling system. ALWAY'S make sure the lower hose has a spring.

it isn't direct fit as they say...i'd save since you have to custom work it and get one that's similar in dimensions. i had to do alot of work to get my direct fit to fit.
