Engine temp on a 350

I am new to the Chevy V8 world so this is why this may seem like a dumb question, but its because I have been in the turbo v6 world since I got my license 3 years ago. I have recently purchased an 84 Z28 with a rebuilt carburated 350 in it. The engine currently runs at about 200 degrees. Should I go to a lower thermostat or is this where the engine temp should be? Thanks
-Don

Stock stat is 195 I think so 200 is very good. My 85 Trans am with a 350 runs 190-220 and everything I read on this board points to that being normal.

Jees man, if you aren't running over 200, I would consider you to be one of the few lucky ones. You have no problem at all.

200* is pretty good, and nothing abnormal.
