Fan WONT turn off

Fan WONT turn off

I have a 88 camaro V6 and as soon as i start the car my fan turns on. after a sec it goes off then comes right back on again. It never even get to heat up. what could it be? I have had some other problems, could these of caused it: cat was clogged, and i think it fried o2 sensor and car is running rough. thanks guys

seems like your straight wired but it has a short or somthing...
(i dont think any of the other could have been the culpret(sp?)) check your relays

Transmission: 5 spd.
Had exactly the same problem with my '88 IROC.
Turns out it was a bad temperature sensor, on the V8 this sensor is located on the right side of the block below yhe exhaust manifold.
Apparently these are designed with a fail-safe, meaning that when the switch fails, it fails in the circuit closed position.
