I got a used (working) serpentine compressor and hose for $50. I looked up the price for a new one from GM and it was something ridiculous like $400. If you need the reciever/drier, condenser, etc thats probably just as costly. Remanufactured parts may be good to look at.

Major parts, compressor $260.05, evaporator $219.25, condensor $205.03 and accumulator $85.04 from GM. Prices may have changed somewhat but thats the last numbers I have handy.

Danno's right...this stuff isn't cheap. I repaired my system with a remanufactured compressor, accumulator, and orifice tube. I would estimate I spent about $600 on the parts and then having it serviced and filled with R134.

Orifice tube for my application (3.1 v6) was discontinued. Luckily a local store had 30 on hand and they shipped it to my dealer. Don't know if they are the same for 350, but I think it was about $80. J.C. Whitney sells an aftermarket complete kit for $1000. Not sure if that's charged or not and I think it's a universal kit, not especially for f-bodies.

Could be, yes. Are we talking used? Those orifice tubes are very small, and I was told only a small amount of dirt can clog them up. Accumulator's are very hard to drain of oils and you shouldn't mix oils. A used compressor could be ok, as well as condensor and evaporator. <shrug> $200 is a great price, provided you're getting a working system, know what I mean?

I'd try Autozone, Checker, etc. They have good parts, better warranties, and even better prices. I got a slightly used compressor on here, and it works great. Also get a new receiver/drier, a R 134 recharge kit, and you're set. Price? Maybe half of new things for used stuff, if it's good.
