Jet fan switch problems

i pulled the sending unit for the temp gauge out of the car, and cut the wire. What would be the best way to reattach the wire? i lost the orginal connector. Also will the jet fan switch work with a single electric fan?

Get a new sending unit. It comes with the connector. All it is on the new one is a spade lug.
